Frequently asked questions.

I’m overwhelmed by all the tech choices. Can you help me figure out what’s worth using?

That’s one of the most common reasons people reach out. I’ll listen to what you’re trying to do, explain your options in plain terms, and help you make confident decisions.

Can you help me set up email, file storage, and the right tools for my business?

Yes. I can help you get a custom domain and email address, organize your files, and choose tools like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 that actually fit the way you work. We’ll keep it simple and set things up right the first time.

I’m just getting started. Can you help me set up the basics?

Yes. I can walk you through setting up email, storage, calendars, branding tools, and a few systems to help you stay organized. You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

My internet is slow or unreliable. Can you fix that?

In most cases, yes. I’ll check for dead zones, help improve your WiFi setup, and recommend better equipment if needed. It’s often a small change that makes a big difference.

I’ve heard about AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot & Perplexity. Can you help me actually use them in my business?

Yes. I can walk you through practical ways to use AI for writing, brainstorming, automating routine work, or organizing your ideas. The goal is to make these tools work for you, not just sit in the background.

Do you offer one-time help or do I need to sign up for something ongoing?

You don’t need to commit to anything long term. I offer one-time sessions, short projects, and ongoing support. Whatever fits your situation.

I don’t even know what I need. Where should I start?

That’s completely fine. You can book a short intro call and we’ll talk through what’s going on. I’ll help you sort through your options and find a good place to begin.

Can I work with you even if I’m not local?

Yes. I’m based in West Grove, Pennsylvania and available for in-person work in the surrounding region. For most tech support and mentoring, I can work virtually with people across the United States. If in-person travel is important to your project, I’m open to traveling anywhere in the US. Travel costs would be billed separately.

Do you work with clients outside the United States?

I can. And would be excited to do so. Most of what I offer can be done remotely, but I’d need to confirm what’s possible based on your location. If you're outside the US and interested in working together, reach out and we’ll explore it.

Is this consulting or coaching? What’s the difference?

It can be either. If you need help with specific tech problems or tools, that’s more consulting. If you’re looking for guidance, accountability, or support as you grow or change, that leans more into mentoring. We can talk about what works best for you.

Where did the name Formerge come from?

The name is a blend of “forward” and “emerge.” I wanted something that captured the heart of what I do: helping people move forward through challenges, make progress with clarity, and emerge more confident in how they use technology and lead their business.

“Emerge” also connects to my work with emerging technologies, tools like AI and cloud platforms that can be powerful if used well but often feel overwhelming or underutilized. At the same time, I needed a name that could represent both sides of the business: the hands-on IT support and the more personal, long-term mentoring and coaching I provide.

I also wanted something short, unique, and easy to remember. A clean name with an available .com, under eight characters, and enough flexibility to grow with the business. Formerge felt like the right mix of all those elements, a name that reflects both movement and meaning.
