Approach and Practicalities
Confidentiality
All Formerge programs are grounded in trust. Conversations, reflections, and insights shared during individual or group sessions are treated as private and confidential. A standard agreement outlining confidentiality and expectations will be provided when appropriate.
The Environment
Formerge experiences are held outdoors in curated natural settings. Whether we are in wooded areas, open trails, or coastal landscapes, the environment serves as the container for the work. This provides the dedicated time, space, and safety required for you to focus entirely on your thinking. Locations are chosen to support presence, safety, and the level of quiet needed for reflection and meaningful conversation.
Weather: Rain or Shine
Nature is rarely perfect, and neither is leadership. Sessions are held in most weather conditions, as rain, wind, and changing conditions often deepen focus and groundedness.
Preparedness
Upon booking, participants receive a simple Gear and Prep guide so they can arrive comfortable and appropriately dressed for the forecast.
Extreme Weather
In the event of unsafe conditions such as lightning, high winds, or extreme temperatures, we will either move to a pre arranged sheltered location or reschedule.
Physical Accessibility
The focus of all Formerge programs is movement in service of thinking, not physical endurance.
Pace: We move at a conversational pace and adjust based on the group or individual.
Ability: To ensure the safety and comfort of every participant, I actively assess mobility needs during the inquiry process. Please share if you or a team member have specific mobility needs or restrictive movements so I can curate a location and pace that matches the needs of the group.
Logistics and Travel
Location: Standard sessions are held within 20 miles of Landenberg, Pennsylvania.
Travel: For engagements outside this radius, including destination based immersions, travel and lodging expenses are billed separately.
Permits and Entry Fees: Location specific commercial permits or site entry fees are billed separately. Formerge manages the application process and coordination for required permissions to ensure our presence in nature is compliant and sustainable.
Insurance & Risk
Formerge maintains active business insurance and additional coverage specific to outdoor based programs. This coverage is designed to address reasonable risks associated with facilitated walking and time in nature, as well as professional liability related to mentoring and coaching conversations.
This insurance does not replace personal health insurance or travel insurance, and participants remain responsible for their own wellbeing and decisions made following the program.
The Scope of Our Work Together
I am here to be your guide for reflection and growth, but I am not a medical, mental health, or legal professional. My focus is on your coaching journey; therefore, if I ever have concerns about your physical or mental wellbeing, I’ll pause our session so you can get the specialized support you need.
Additionally, our space is built on trust, but I hold a high standard for safety. If anything is shared regarding illegal activity or serious harm, I am committed to ensuring it is reported to the right authorities to keep everyone safe.
